Rubber on roller
There is a black powder collecting on the scrapper and falling into my dough. It appears to be coming from the black rubber on the roller. My machine is about a year old, and has only been in use for a couple of months.

try not to have the roller lay against the edge of the bowl unless it's running on lowest speed. On higher speeds it should be set away from the edge.
Could also be some dirt on the bowl itself. Use any food grade oil, such as olive oil or another cooking oil and rub the inside of the bowl with it. It'll dissolve any dirt stuck to the metal.
