Change in river/water flow
Hi
I am wondering the sudden shift in the vatterflöde around Suorva to about the double, even though there is very little in the amount of prepcipitation. Can you please help me here?

Hello Jesper! I think what you are referring to as a sudden shift in water flow around Sourva is an effect of seasonal regulation. We do not (at present) receive real-time data from Suorva but instead estimate when the winter production starts (in this case, around Nov 1), based on historic data. Our model therefore mimics the average seasonal regulation. Therefore, you should regard this data as "indicative" rather than "actual". In the future we hope to improve data collection from hydropower companies.
