SSG launches a new version of Access

Due to this the former shared user credentials will no longer be in use, and you will need to create individual accounts with individual credentials. This will make the login procedure more secure, ensure traceability and thus make the service even more GDPR compliant.

How do I gain access to the service?
Below are some different scenarios you may come across.

Have you had an individual account as an administrator in the previous version of Access?
  • You will then be transferred automatically as a user to the new version, and will use your previously selected credentials to log in, your email address or mobile phone number that is.
Are you an access controller and have previously used a shared account with a username and password?
  • You will then need to be invited by an administrator who will assign the role access controller. If you have ever used one of our services you may already have an account, and will then connect the invitation to your existing account. If not, you will get the option to create an account through the invitation.
Are you supposed to be an administrator?
  •  You will then need to be invited by an administrator who will assign the role administrator. If you have ever used one of our services you may already have an account, and will then connect the invitation to your existing account. If not, you will get the option to create an account through the invitation.
What if I don’t know who’s an administrator and authorized to invite me?
  • Please contact SSG Support and we will help you find out. You may contact us at phone number +46 60 14 15 10 or through email at support@ssg.se

As an administrator, how do I add other administrators and access controllers?
  • You are now able to handle this through your SSG Portal. Log in at SSG Portal and click on Users in the menu to your left. There you will find all the existing users and will be able to edit their roles or remove them as users. If you want to invite a new user, simply click on Invite user. Type in all mandatory details such as name, mobile phone number or email address, select language and role. When you have finished, click on Send invitation to complete.

What do the different roles mean?

Administrator
  • As an administrator, you will have access to all features: Access control, Requirements, Control History and Contractors.
Access controller
  • As an access controller, you will only have access to two of the above features: Access control and Requirements.

What do the different features mean?

Access control
  • This is where you check that the courses required for access to your plant have been completed by the contractor. When the contractor uses his access card in the reader (or if you manually  type in the access card number or any other valid identifier), you will easily see if the contractor is authorized to visit your plant or not. Through this feature you are also able to initiate an additional knowledge test if needed.
Requirements
  • This is where you can see the plant’s requirements and which personnel it applies to.
Control history
  • This feature is new and shows a list of all checks that have been made in the access control. The list contains details such as the name and card number of the contractor, time and date when the control was made, and who at your plant that performed the control.
Contractors
  • The former name of this feature was “Search”. If you require a local course for your plant besides the SSG Entre Basic Course, this is where you will be able to search amongst contractors which have completed the courses required at your plant. If you click on Export complete list, you will also see all the different chip numbers connected to the contractors access cards.
