Import permit for soil samples
Hej! I am a researcher at the University of Gothenburg and would like to bring frozen soil samples from Greenland back with me (or actually my students would bring them) at the end of August. I believe I need an import permit for this, but I can't find the right form for soil (I only see forms for living things, e.g. plants). Could you point me to the right place where I can apply for a permit for importing frozen soil samples for research purposes? Thank you very much! Anne

The e-service for applying for an official permit can be found here:
Undantag från växtskyddsregler vid import eller förflyttning av växter, växtprodukter, jord med mera för vetenskapliga ändamål (Exemptions from plant protection rules when importing or moving plants, plant products, soil, etc. for scientific purposes)
In the application, you can then specify the type of material you want to import (plants, soil, wood, etc.). In other words, even if the application appears at first glance to only concern plants and plant products, it also covers soil (jord):
