What can I do if I am annoyed/disturbed by noise or noisy neighbours?

  • The State Immission Control Act of Berlin also known as Landes-Immissonsschutzgesetz Berlin regulates in § 3: "From 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. it is forbidden to make noise that could disturb someone in their night's sleep" and in § 4: "On Sundays and public holidays it is forbidden to cause noise, by which someone is disturbed considerably in his rest. " If you are disturbed by sounds and noise from a neighbour during these times, we recommend that you prepare a noise log that documents the extent and duration of the noise disturbances. This helps us to get an overview over the situation and determine suitable measures.
  • Create and keep a noise log for 14 consecutive days and then submit it to your agent or to the ServiceCenter. We will act accordingly and will get in touch with you as soon as possible.
