Asking for help
I am a parent of two children, and we are currently living as immigrants in a very challenging situation.
After losing my spouse due to violence, I became the sole provider for my children. Since then, life has become extremely difficult. We are struggling with unemployment, rising living costs, and high rent. Despite all efforts, it is becoming harder each day to meet basic needs like food and housing.
We also face strict regulations and uncertainty due to our immigration status. Without proper documentation, we live in constant fear of being forced to return to unsafe conditions.
My children’s education is also affected. Opportunities are limited, especially for higher education, even though my children are capable and motivated to learn. Access to healthcare is another major concern, as treatment is often unavailable without sufficient financial resources.
We are simply looking for a safe place where we can live with dignity, work, study, and have access to basic rights and opportunities.
If anyone has advice, resources or guidance on what options might be available in such a situation, it would be deeply appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to read.

Thank you for contacting us.
We are sorry to hear about your situation.
NRC receives many individual requests for assistance. Our assistance is managed through the NRC offices in the countries we work in. We run programmes that support people affected by displacement in specific locations. This means that NRC is largely unable to refer individual requests for assistance, but you can try reaching out to our country office. You can see where we work here: https://www.nrc.no/where-we-work
The country office might be able to assist you, but we cannot make any promises on their behalf.
We hope you will find a solution to your needs.
Best regards
