Whipping or mixing small amounts.

My large KitchenAid mixer, that I do love, is terrible at small chores. Whisking 2 egg Whites, a cup of whipping cream or creaming butter for a small batch of cookies. Will this mixer be usable for small jobs as well as the big stuff?

  • Hi Pamela,

yes! The whisking bowls handles amounts as small as two egg whites. You can of course make very small batches of bread in the big stainless steel bowl as well. Big or small works just the same.

  • I have the standard 7 liter bowl and the attachments that come with the mixer.  I find that I have a hard time mixing a single batch of cookies.  The 2 eggs don't get beat very well in the large bowl.  When there isn't a lot of raw materials/dough (e.g. a single batch of cookies, a banana bread), I don't get a very good mixing of the ingredients without a lot of spatula work from me.  I see you have smaller bowls but these bowl have a center 'funnel' (not sure what the correct term is) - but these seem like they're for specific items like whipping up cream.
Do you plan to ever offer a small like 3 or 4 liter bowl that is the same style as the 7 liter bowl? And do you ever plan to offer one made of glass?

    Thank You.

  • Hi Karen,

I would recommend you try the whisking bowl for your small batches of cookies. Use the balloon whisks to whip the eggs and then swap to the cookie beaters to add your flour, room temp butter and other ingredients.
