Oil on base of mixer

Yellow oil on base of new mixer. Looks like it came from the shaft in the center of the metal bowl.

  • Hello and thank you for your message. In preparation of the units travel across the ocean via container ship, a bit of oil is placed on the mixer base hub where the bowl sits. This is the protect the metal on metal connection for travel. A wet cloth should be used to wipe everything down and you will be good to go.
