Machine doesn't turn

I just received my Ankarsrum Assistent and the bowl doesn't turn when I turn on the machine. I just hear a sound as if the motor is stalled. I tried taking off the bowl so that there's just the machine with no attachments whatsoever. The main shaft doesn't turn at all, and the accessory shaft (on the side) moves like a millimeter when on and then back again when I turn off the motor (as if the motor is stalled).

Have i missed some step in the setup?
