Dough roller
Is the dough roller supposed to be touching the bottom of the stainless steel bowl? When the dough roller is secured with the pin pushed down, I can still move the dough roller up and down about 1/4 inch, but it is definitely resting and rubbing on the bottom of the bowl. Is this normal?

Completely normal. The pin merely balances the roller, it does not "hold" nor drive it.
