bad noise from dough roller
Hey guys
i've been a happy Anka user for 3 years at this point and lately my machine has started doing something new. The dough roller - when rolling along the edge of the bowl - makes a horrible rattling noise as it spins around. I noticed even the round knob you use to insert the rod into the dough roller is spinning a bit -- there seems to be enough friction between that rod and the insides of the dough roller that it's turning the whole thing a bit. That friction must also explain the rattling noise as it spins.
So question is, does this interface need some sort of lubrication or did I just gunk mine up somehow and make it more resistant to rolling than it should be?
Thanks all!
Daniel

I think a thorough cleaning of the inside of the roller and the pin is a good first step here. Sometimes, dough, flour or something else can find it's way inside the roller leading to friction between roller and pin which leads to all sorts of trouble. Lubricate the pin with a tiny bit of cooking oil after cleaning and you'll probably notice a big difference.
