Stop based real time
Hi,
We would like to efficiently return real time results for all of the stops in the network. Is there any way to accomplish this without making thousands of calls per minute? Other real time systems around the world tend to include an option to return all of the network in one call, so it would be very useful to have access to a similar request via Trafiklab.

When You write in the network - Do You mean SL's network or complete Sweden?

No real time feed is available according to Your request at Trafiklab.
For Stockholm there is an API: SL - Realtidsinformation 4, but You need to call each individual stop every minute (Unlikely, that SL will accept that).
There is no real time Nationwide API at Trafiklab even thought it is possible to get real time information for SL, Västtrafik, Skånetrafiken and for trains in the API: Resrobot - Stolptidstabeller 2 /departures. But, it's unlikely that You would be allowed to make the amount of requests that You need for this.

Ake: I think the simplest way to explain it is that i am looking for a solution that would provide either vehicle position or trip updates en masse.
As a random example if you look at the real time data available for Capital Metro in Austin

They have available files in the Protocol Buffer format, that returns the real time status of all the vehicles in their transport network each time it is clicked.
Vilnius meanwhile presents a simple text file with GPS traces for each bus.

If similar bulk functions were available for the various real time API's within Traffiklab it would be very much appreciated although i am sure there are many barriers to doing so!

I'm Sorry, but there is no bulk API for real time information at Trafiklab.
