How many people can stay in an apartment with one room?

My wife has been accepted to the University of Skövde for the Autumn 2025 semester. We are currently exploring housing options and would like to know if, as her spouse, I would be allowed to stay with her in a one-bedroom student apartment as guest?
We would appreciate any information regarding this?

There are no special legal rules that specify how many people can live in an apartment. What the Tenancy Act states is that tenants must observe "order, health and good condition" and not disturb neighbors or the surroundings in general.
However, there are recommendations and in an apartment with one room and a kitchen we recommened that a maximum of 2 people live there.
