Can I get an apartment quickly?

Hi,

I am presently in urgent need of apartment. I have applied to few apartments and I got rejections. I have been in queue from 2015.

Is there a possibility that I get the apartment quickly.

Best Regards,

  • Hello Viswanth,

    Thank you for contacting us!

Our apartments are rented out via our housing queue and after our queue system. Since there's a big interest for housing in Lund, we do have rather long waiting times.

The waiting time varies but can many times be between 5-10 years. Newly produced apartments can sometimes have shorter waiting time.

  • Hello Khadra,

The only way to be offered an apartment is through the queue. Unfortuantely, chances of getting an apartment with your current waiting time isn't too good. The waiting times varies, but can many times be between 5-10 years.

If you've been rejected an apartment for other reasons than the waiting time and you have questions regarding it, kindly contact us by email on info@lkf.se.

  • What is current waiting time to get an apartment in Lund? I am in the queue since Jan 2015.

  • Hello Manish,

The waiting times varies a lot for each apartment, depending on who applies for it. But you can say that the waiting times are often between 5-10 years if you're a prioritized applicant. We prioritize applicants who either live, work or study in Lund.

Newly built apartments can sometimes have shorter waiting times.

  • Hi,

    I have two questions

I have 7.5 years of queue but I am not getting the apartment, I wonder why?

Second questions is why LKF does not make the queue number for the apartment public depending on the queue time and number of applicants like other companies (for example AFB) where as soon as you apply for particular apartment, your placement for that apartment is shown depending on the number of applicant and your points.

    Best regards,

  • Hello Mohsin,

How long one has to queue before recieving an offer depends on area and size, but can also shift from one time to another, depending on how long the other applicants has been in the queue.

In our queue, we have a priority which includes those who either live, work or study in Lund. Although, when being in this priority group, it still takes approximately 5-10 years before getting an offer.

If you wish to know how many points the applicants had who were offered the apartments you have applied for, you can send an e-mail asking for this information to info@lkf.se, and we will take a look.

When one is recieving an offer the queue position from now on will be noted in the letter/e-mail. Since we manually go through applications, and also have a priority system as mentioned above, queueing numbers are not available unless one has recieved an offer.
