Stipend to live one week in Stockholm and translation grant
Dear Kulturrådet,
I am a publisher and translator and am currently working on the translation of Lennart Sjögren‘s wonderful Regnbågen into German. I would like to consult with Jonas Ellerström about thorny questions and would love to immerse myself in Swedish language and culture to further my work. I lived in Skåne for twelve years and founded Edition Rugerup there. I would also like to apply for a translation grant to help finance the project. Lennart has kindly written that I could have the rights to any other books and poems of his. I am deeply honoured, in my opinion, he is one of the truly great Swedish poets. Is the one-week translator’s stay in Stockholm still open for application? All best wishes, Margitt
