The point system in normal gamemodes such as world classic.

I have played two games of geogussr. One of which I received 22,842 points with the total distance being 805km, the other game I played I received 22,762 points with the total distance being 711km. The second game was overall almost 100km more accurate but I received less points. Why is this?

It's not a linear formula, depending of the distance you will get more or less points. If you have a game with one round that is bad but others rounds great you can have a greater overall distance but still more points than a game with no great rounds neither very bad rounds and only average rounds. You need to consider the scores and distances based on each rounds.
