Sound not working

Haven't played Geoguessr for a couple months and started it today again without any music or effect sounds. Both sliders are fully turned up ingame, browser isn't muted and the tab isn't muted either. Any idea why I have no sounds?
I played the daily challenge, a battle royale country game and a custom famous place round, all without sound.

    There is no sound or effects in Daily Challenge or classic Maps yet. We have the clock sound in Battle Royale though, so strange that its not working. Will see if Im able to replicate. Is it missing if you try another browser/device (if possible) as well there?

  • Hey, thanks for your answer! I usually play on firefox but just checked with chrome and also no music in a battle royale country game. Also no clock sounds.

  • Firefox 104.0.2 (64-Bit) , it says it's up to date.
    Chrome Version 105.0.5195.127 also up to date.

    Both used on Windows 10 Version 10.0.19043 Build 19043

    Sorry to bring back an old post but I've just experienced this. Our team plays GeoGuessr each week (Party with Live Challenges), and no one can hear music any more, sounds such as count down, close, far, and end celebration are all still fine however.

    This started about two weeks ago.

    I believe we're all on Chrome though different platforms (some linux, some windows), and I've also tested firefox with no changes.

    We've also tried having other members host the game but no improvement

  • We have removed the Music for the time being in Live Challenges and Quizzes since there where some issues with Epidemic, so we will add our own Music eventually. 👍

  • i have a sound problem. There is no sound in any mode and I have everything turned up

  • We have a bug on OperaGX currently with the sounds. So it should work in other browsers.
