"something unexpected has happened"

I haven't logged into geoguessr in quite a few months but just have now. It won't let me play anything or even access the support page, just says "something unexpected happened."

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

It usually happens in Safari since it is not best friends with the Google API. So it should work better in Chrome or Firefox perhaps.
