Logging in

I’m an experienced GeoGuessr player with a paid account so I know how the game works but the app on my iPad Pro has reset and is now forcing me to go through a painfully patronising tutorial before it will let me log in … fine, should be able to fly through this in about 3 seconds … except the third screen of the tutorial where you should be able to tap to move along the footpath is completely unresponsive.  Cannot tap or swipe, an annoying little cartoon hand keeps prompting me to tap despite the fact that I’m practically jamming my finger through the screen already, and there is literally no way to bypass it … I can’t even just make a wild stab in the dark on the map because the green map button doesn’t appear until you do the whole tappy tappy thing that DOES NOT WORK! And I just want to play the game that I already know how to play and that I’m paying a subscription for … I don’t want a patronising tutorial that doesn’t even work anyway!

    Yes we are aware that the tutorial is not working, and we have shipped an update to Apple so hopefully it can get accepted soon. 🙂 The alternative at the moment is to play through a mobile browser or through desktop.

  • Ah, perfect! Thanks for your efforts. Sorry for expressing my frustration earlier. I think a “Skip” button would still be ideal also, so that experienced players can get straight to logging in. 😊

  • Absolutely, in these circumstances it would be good. But we did not think that the street view around that location would be removed.
