How do I get a custom PFP?

I’m wondering how I change my PFP (profile picture) and I’ve checked settings on the website and app (on iPhone) and I click the little face thing but all that happens is change username!

You can change it on the website by going to Profile/Edit your profile - https://www.geoguessr.com/me/settings
By clicking on the avatar you should get this screen where you can upload a picture:
