Guesses register on map, but then say I didn't guess after round

I just had two games in a row where I lost after I had made a guess, I could see my pin on the map with plenty of time left (>5 seconds), but didn't click to submit while I tried to find a better guess, then the round ends and it says I didn't guess! This has happened to me too many times and it's incredibly frustrating.
