Force English on Google Maps

Hi,

I would like to suggest a setting to force Google Maps to English (or to always show local city names, if that's possible).
I'm not sure how wide spread this problem is in other languages, but in German, there are a lot of weirdly translated names for cities all over Europe that literally nobody ever uses.
For example, Valmiera in Latvia is called "Wolmar", Thionville in France is called "Diedenhofen" or Liege in Belgium is called "Lüttich" on the German map.
So even if you find a sign that says the name of the city, you can't find it on the map. I've lost quite a few points because of this and it's getting annoying.

Would be great if you could consider this. Thank you.
