Dragging Features Disappear

Hello - Using Safari 6.1.3, I often after playing for a few minutes lose the dragging feature on the "Guess" map. At the same time this occurs, I then lose the normal drag functionality on the main map, and the ability to "cursor click" along roads - I'm left with clicking on the white chevron arrow (which takes small baby steps). This really spoils a fun game.

  • Hey Eric. I'm sorry to hear that you experience a sub par gaming experience. I'll add this as a possible bug in our tracking system and we'll have a look.

    Thanks for playing.

  • Thanks for getting back! I tried another browser, Google Chrome, and things were trouble-free for a while, but then after a couple of plays, the browser crashed. I've tried it twice over the last two days, and it holds up better than on Safari, but when I get to the third or fourth location, it consistently crashes.

Hopefully this bug will solvable without any major rewrites.

  • Hey, there's an ongoing discussion on the memory consumption within this forum. But this is mostly related to Firefox. However, we added a new "resume game" feature yesterday. If you have a pending game, the game will ask you if you want to resume it the next time you start a new game on the same level. It's not perfect, but it limits the damage done if you accidentally close your browser window or encounter a browser crash.

    Thanks,

    Erland
  • Excellent! That should help.

Best wishes on solving the memory glitch!

  • Thank you all for giving us this information! This seems like it might be a general Safari bug. We've noted it in our bug list and will hopefully soon be able to release a fix for this.

    Kind regards

  • I've been running Google Chrome for the last week, and hardly a problem… I'll try it again with Safari soon. Again, the good news seems to be that Chrome has been nearly "bulletproof."

Great to hear that Chrome works alright, hopefully you'll soon be able to use Safari again!
