200 points lost in Competitive

Hi,
Suddenly (with the new Spring season opening?), I have lost more than 200 points in competitive: I had more than 1200 points, ranking in the top 100, and now I have 971 points, ranking 127e. I saw the top players were also totally changed in the leaderboard. What happened?

We have made a soft reset of all ratings with the new season as per the "Whats new" tab in Competitive:

To even out the player base. So not the the low ranks in a previous season or the top ranks will be caught in their rankings and positions. Like most games do in new seasons.
