2 minute time on game

I loved playing Geoguessr, but recently I can no longer take as much time as I want  on a single game (I play USA and World single player).  I find absolutely no enjoyment when I am kicked out of the game after 2 minutes. The only suggestion I found in the FAQs of changing when I start a new game, does not seem to work.  I fear I will have to drop my subscription if I can no longer take unlimited time on a game.  Help!  I pray that I can continue as before - I loved this so much and learned so much by "driving" about until I had enough clues to determine where I was!

    If you drag the slider all the way to the left in this example you can have unlimited time:

  • That time slider no longer shows up at the bottom of the start screen.  If there is no way to remove the 2 min. timer any more, then that's a deal breaker for me too.  I'm not in a hurry to beat a clock.  I just want to play Geoguessr.  Guess I'll be moving on, but if you decide to fix this (and stop changing things every month), let me know and I'll renew my subscription.  Oh, and get rid of those dumb avatars.  What are we, 12-year olds?

  • It shows in the Classic Maps section - https://www.geoguessr.com/maps if you click on a Map, then Play and then turn the slider to the left. I would assume you have opened Quickplay where the timer is not possible to turn off.
