Personal data policy
To publish posts or comments in this forum, you are required to provide your name and email address. Your email address will never be shown to other visitors to the forum.
The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) processes the following information about you:
- name
- email address
- IP adress
- any other personal data that provide in posts or comments
When you post messages or comments on the forum, we store the personal data you provide through your activity on the forum. You may request access to or deletion of your data at any time. If you wish to remove your data from the forum, you can report your post by clicking the warning triangle and providing a brief explanation. An editor will then remove the data as soon as possible.
By posting on the forum, you also agree that:
- The name you provide will be publicly displayed along with your post.
- The email address you provide will be stored and processed by NRC in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable European data protection laws. NRC may use your email address to contact you regarding your forum activity, based on a lawful basis for processing under GDPR.
- NRC has the right, for internal use only, to process the name and email address you have provided in order to search existing private databases (for example, its own donor register or other databases available for organisational purposes).
- NRC commits to never sell or otherwise share the email address you provide with third parties, except as described above and in our privacy policy, without your written consent.

Content policy
As a user of this forum, you agree that what you write may be published and therefore read by other users.
The following guidelines apply to content posted in this forum:
- Users who wish to report inappropriate content or request that content be removed can do so via the reporting function on each post or comment.
- Inappropriate content will always be removed by NRC. This may include racist posts, hate speech, pornography, threats or insulting comments about individuals, posts that violate personal privacy, incitement to violence or criminal acts, advertising for products or companies, as well as content that clearly does not respect copyright. We also ask our users to avoid aggressive language, such as profanity, as it is often perceived as offensive.
- NRC may also remove posts that are clearly irrelevant to the website or the context.
